A Passion Seeker 👩🏻‍🎨

Hi guys!
How are you?

What is your passion? Today I'll tell you guys a story about "finding my passion". It'll be pretty long, so you can get your snack first. 😛

I'm just an ordinary girl that doesn't have any special talents, but my father is very good at drawing. When I was a child, I always ask him to draw me flowers, trees, sceneries, even Arabic calligraphies. I was interested in something colorful, and I was so happy when my father gave me a play dough set and colorful chalks. Back then, I didn't have any specific hobbies. I watched Teletubbies, Barbie, Blues Clues, and other kids programs. I played hide and seek with my friends, and yeah just "a very normal childhood life", cause the gadget wasn't common yet.

Back then, when I was in the fourth grade of Elementary School, I moved to Cirebon, West Java, and I studied at Bima Elementary School. I met a friend who is very good at drawing there. During the break time, she drew "a dancing girl" and I was so amazed. My jaw dropped and I didn't even blink when I saw her drawing. She said that I could keep it. I was so happy, and I got home with a big smile. I started to draw, and my father told me that I got a talent from him. Since then, I discovered that my hobby was drawing. A few weeks later, my art teacher gave us an assignment, then he said that my drawing was good, and I was proud of it. I got excited every time I had my art class. But, unfortunately, after three months, I came back to Yogyakarta again.

I kept drawing till I was in the first grade of high school. When I was in the junior high school, I joined some competitions, and I won most of them all. I thought that "this is my passion". Years went by and suddenly, when I was in second grade of high school, I stopped drawing. (Guess what, now, my drawing just looks like a playground child's drawing, even worse)

I don't know exactly why, but it just happened. Usually in my spare times, I would love to draw, but now, I prefer to watch movies. When I was in Senior High School, I watched dramas a lot, especially Korean. You could say that I was addicted to it. Most of them made me cry, and I feel that I'm way more sensitive now because of it. I'll cry whatever the genre is, even the action, nature, but except the horror.

Now, I don't really like Korean dramas, but I watch these kind of movies most of the time

Watching movies? Is it my passion? I'm not sure about it.

So, what is my passion? Well..

When I searched on google, there are many people out there who don't know what their passion is. But, it doesn't mean that they don't have one. Maybe, they just don't realize it. You may not see it, because some times you can only feel it. For example, there is a person who really loves to help others, and his passion is to make a better difference in someone's life. He doesn't know that it is his passion, and it might happen. (But, I wanna know what is mine ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻)

Some people say that passion is your biggest hobby or your biggest dream. I agree with that.

Some people say that passion could be your childhood crush (not necessarily a person 😏), agree with that too

I hope everyone who read this already know their passion, and they are happy because of it.
O yeah, and I also hope that I will discover my passion very soon...

That's a very weird closing, see you guys in my next post...

I love drawing too..., well until some of my 'friends' ask me to draw something for them. It doesn't feels like hobby anymore, I do get money from it but meh... too much pressure and expectation :/

    Okay now it's bemsu time...

    > she draw "a dancing girl" and I was so amazed.
    > draw?

cmiiw you're using past tense so it should've been 'drew' not 'draw'.

  7. Good writing, Wanda! But in the sentence "I studied at Bima elementary school" I think it should be "I studied at Bima Elementary School."
Don't forget the capital letters. :)

By the way, could you show me your drawing? Hehe.
